Discussion on Vegetarianism and Global Warming
2008/04/01

The Green Party Taiwan and Wild at Heart Legal Defense Association will sponsor a discussion on vegetarianism's role in dealing with global warming on 1 April 2008, at 12F, #86 Chongcing S. Rd. Sec. 1 Taipei, Taiwan from 2-4 pm. The public is invited to attend.

The Green Party Taiwan's efforts to bring Taiwan government and industry to its senses regarding global warming will continue to focus on active and aggressive opposition to large, wasteful and unsustainable infrastructure projects, urban sprawl development, subsidies for private automobiles and motorscooters, and the government's encouragement to the Taiwanese to shop, spend and over consume.

At the same time we want to help empower people to join in the efforts on global warming through easily-accomplished adjustments to their life style.

This discussion will be introduced by invited Green Party General Secretary Pan Han-sheng and several other Green Party members and vegetarian proponents will share their views.
